Wondering how the first ever SJR Homecoming was this past weekend. Any comments from other SJR alums who attended? Any advice for those of us planning next year's Class of '81 25th Reunion?
Here in Toronto we're gearing up for the 30th annual Film Festival. Starting this Thursday, September 8th, you can find the latest news and reviews on my blog: www.haikugirl.blogspot.com
- it's also in the list of links in the sidebar>>
Now I'll leave you with a haiku:

Attention Class of '81
Can you believe it's been 24 years since we had grad at the Hotel Fort Garry and the after party at Blain's? Since next summer marks 25 years, we wanted to get everyone together for a reunion. Hardev, Frank and I met earlier this month at Collosseo Pizza (yes, the one on Corydon) to strategize about possible dates. Since then, we hear Neil Hamilton is also eager to help organize the event. The current plan is on or around August long weekend 2006 but that may change since the school makes things easy by working with alumni to organize an annual homecoming - this year happening this comoing weekend, Aug. 26-28 in Winnipeg.
So let's check with the school and set next year's date and finalize the e-vite. Then we can start hearing from all of our long lost classmates - or else we'll make up stuff about you and post it on this blog ;-)
Now, in the immortal words of Dr. Kuppers: Okay people
And in the immortal words of Pink: Let's get this party started
-Mary Margaret (Hrushovetz) Powrie (aka haikugirl)

BBQ in Toronto
4 SJR Class of '81 alums connected in Toronto at the home of Mary Margaret (Hrushovetz) Powrie on Tuesday July 19, 2005. Anne Gregory was in town and so was Kristel van Ineveld and her son Mitchell, along with TDot residents Paul Wollaston, Mary and Kristel's sister Adje.
The photo doesn't lie. Good times (and good food) were enjoyed by all.
